Swamp Surprise!

When I recently went to Lake Martin for a photo shoot, I knew that there would be plenty of birds. And there were. Egrets, GBH, Green Herons and Black Crowned Night herons were plentiful. But what surprised me the most was the large population of Barred Owls! Now, we have Barred Owls around here to, but it seemed like every corner we went around had another Owl! And they were very vocal for the most part, so it wasn’t hard to find them. As always, click on the image to enlarge

Watching our every move

And it seemed like they were always squabbling with each other. Reminded me of an old married couple!

Best time to shoot a vertical? Right after a horizontal! Same bird, same tree, different feel.

Hope you enjoy the pics, because they were sure fun to shoot!

Heading for lunch!

Out of the darkness

And into the light

And last, but not least, is my favorite of the bunch

Thanks for looking. Now get out and shoot!
