Mel and I have been shooting at Little Estero for the last two days. Little Estero is a critical management area due to the number of shorebirds that nest in the area. We've photographed here before and it used to be a photographer's dream. Below is an image from a few years ago:

Unfortunately the last two years the pool was no longer being supplied with water from the Gulf of Mexico, and it was turning into a stagnant pool of dead water. I don't know what happened but the pool seems to be making a comeback!! Below are some pics from the pool.

We had a great time, and it's good to see the Estero Pool back to normal!!
