We were able to visit the Venice Rookery again this year and just like last year we had some great shooting. The Rookery is a small mangrove island in a small pond in the middle of Venice, FL. If you didn't know it was there, you would probably drive right by it! Below are some of the images from that trip. Click on the images to enlarge.

All in all we had a great day! I would go back anytime! There is no place that I know of where you can see such a concentration of different birds in nesting season.
